In addition we have teacher Sue who is a qualified, retired head teacher who joins us for 2 (school) sessions each week. Excellent staff to child ratio and we have a keyworker system in place.

Daily academic activities will include literacy and mathematics; colour, shape, counting and number work, matching games, letter recognition, phonics, tracing and pencil control. Children also enjoy role play, art and creative activities, dance, music and outdoor adventure play. We build on the children’s confidence and self-esteem in readiness for their transition in to school.

Good opportunities to network within the local community to include visits to local schools for assembly, school plays and performances. This gives the children additional experiences of school environments, supporting their easy and seamless transition into school.

Close working relationships with parents and carers; where possible parents have choice of play rooms for their 3-5year olds. We have a keyworker system in place supporting the transition from home to nursery life. Many of our staff offer a babysitting service, however this is done on an individual basis between parents and staff.
